“The Real” might have ended, but the love among the co-hosts remains stronger than ever. The close bond shared between the women of the talk show host — Jeannie Mai, Loni Love, Tamera Mowry, Garcelle Beauvais, and Adrienne Bailon — was put on display after one of them shared a piece of wonderful news.
Earlier this week, Bailon shared the exciting news of welcoming her first child, a boy, with her husband Israel Houghton. The show host has been open about her struggle with infertility throughout her marriage.
Adrienne Bailon Welcomes First Child Via Surrogacy
The “I’m In Love With A Church Girl” actress broke the thrilling news of her son’s birth via a heartwarming social media post. As The Blast reported, Bailon shared a tear-jerking black-and-white photo of the family of three.
The doting mother cuddled her newborn son against her chest against her bare chest while her husband wrapped them in his arms and stared sweetly at his son.
The adorable infant is the first child for Bailon and the fifth for the gospel singer, who has four children from his previous relationship. The former Cheetah Girls member announced her son’s name, writing, “Ever James ♾ For this child we have prayed. Just to hear our baby cry. Skin to skin and face to face, Heart to heart and eye to eye.”
The moving caption continued, “Our baby boy is here & we are so in love! If you have followed our love story… you know that our journey to baby has been very challenging – But God is true to His word and His promises. We have quietly prayed while sitting on this most magnificent secret for the last 9 months.”
The doting mother declared that her baby boy is worth “every tear, every disappointment, every delayed prayer, every IVF cycle, every miscarriage,” noting that she and Houghton feel nothing but “joy and overwhelming love & gratitude.”
She concluded the post, “Grateful to God, to our angel surrogate, and to all of our friends and family who have stood with us for over 5 years on this journey. He’s here and we have never been happier to lose sleep!”
The news was greatly received by colleagues and friends who congratulated Bailon on the good news. As you might know, Bailon had been open about her struggle to conceive during her fourth five years of marriage, most time talking about it on the show.
‘The Real’ Ladies Celebrate Bailon’s News With Joy
Bailon’s great news was celebrated by her “The Real” co-hosts with so much joy. Mai, who also welcomed a child, daughter Monaco, this year, wrote, “HE IS HERE!!!! Lord thank you for this gift You spent quality time making for Israel and Ade. Every second of perfection. Thank you for His genius mind and adorable smile that’s bout to light up our world! We’ve been waiting for u Ever!! Monaco’s ready for matching outfits👀🤪😍😍😍😍😍.”
Tamera Mowry commented, “Wooooo-hooooo!!!!! Cried so many tears of joy today! So happy for you my love! See you guys sooooon!!!” while actress Garcelle Beauvais added, “I couldn’t be happier for Ade !!!!! Your prayers came true 🙏🏽 lucky little boy 😇.”
Comedian Loni Love couldn’t contain her joy about her co-host welcoming a son, declaring herself Auntie Loni. Reposting a photo of Bailon’s announcement photo, Love wrote, “Y’all know I have been crying tears of joy.. welcome to the world Ever James.. we are so in love.. congratulations new Momma @adriennebailon @israelhoughton…It’s all in God’s time!! #auntieloni.”
In a follow-up post, Love shared a heartwarming video of Bailon discussing her desire to become a mother during an episode of the show. Declaring the one thing she would never give up on, Bailon noted it was her dream to have a child.
In the video, an enthusiastic Bailon said, “I am either the most resilient human being or I am wildly delusional…We get these bad notices and it’ll be like ‘and it didn’t work this time’ or you know, I’ve done multiple cycles of IVF and so many other things, and I’ll be sad for a day, like I literally will cry. And like the next day, I know this sounds psychotic, I’ll be like, ‘OK, I found three new baby names.’ I don’t know why, I refuse to let this be the end of my story. I know that it’s not. And I love it that I tell myself, it’s not a question of will I be a mother, it’s a question of when.”
