Kanye West In Hot Soup While Continuing To Defend ‘White Lives Matter’ Shirt
On Monday, Kanye West debuted the Yeezy Season 9 collection during a surprise Paris Fashion Week show and got into hot water again, this time over a shirt. The embattled rapper-turned-designer wore a shirt with “White Lives Matter” emblazoned on the back and it has not gone down well with fans, and even celebrities, who are more than willing to air their dislike of it.
Ye has predictably responded on social media and even Gigi Hadid lost her usual cool this time round.
Kanye West Makes A Statement

Kanye West, who legally changed his name to Ye earlier, staged a surprise Yeezy fashion show on Monday in Paris, which showcased his Season 9 collection. As he strode on stage to give a speech, West wore a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt emblazoned with the Pope’s face on the front and the outfit did not go down well with many on the Internet.
He then went on a spiel that referenced Kim Kardashian‘s 2016 Paris robbery, before speaking about his ex-manager Scooter Braun, his fallout with Gap, and also the struggles he faced when he first decided to enter the fashion industry.
In true-blue Kanye West style, he then said, “I am Ye, and everyone here knows that I am the leader. You can’t manage me.”
He also teased the audience with the names of the models expected to make an appearance on stage, starting with Kardashian, moving to his ex Irina Shayk, current flame Candice Swanepoel and mentioning other biggies like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and even Angelina Jolie.

Ultimately though, only Shayk, Naomi Campbell, and Amelia Grey Hamlin made appearances, with the Russian model watching from the side as the other two walked the runway. More models in the show also wore the same shirt emblazoned with “White Lives Matter” on the back as social media imploded over Ye’s actions.
Gigi Hadid Cannot Stand Kanye West’s Disrespect

First off, Kanye West posted a screenshot of a conversation with fashion designer Mowalola Ogunlesi, who seemed to be defending Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, another designer who Ye targetted in since-deleted posts.
After Johnson posted on social media how she was “fuming… collecting my thoughts …” calling West’s design “Indefensible behavior”, Ye cracked down on her in a cruel way.
He wrote, “This is not a fashion person” captioning a picture of Johson. He also wrote, “You speak on Ye Ima speak on you Ask Trevor Noah”, further fuelling his ongoing feud with Noah.

Gigi Hadid couldn’t help herself, commenting, “You wish u had a percentage of her intellect. You have no idea haha…. If there’s actually a point to any of your sh*t she might be the only person that could save u. As if the “honor” of being invited to your show should keep someone from giving their opinion ..? Lol. You’re a bully and a joke.
That did not seem to bring Kanye West down and posted another picture, of a white marble bust, and captioned it, “SPANK MY HAND WITH THE RULER(S) I’LL GO SIT IN THE “PRINCIPAL(S)” OFFICE CAN’T WE TALK ABOUT MORE IMPORTANT THINGS LIKE HOW LATE THE SHOW WAS OR HOW BERNARD ARNAULT KILLED MY BEST FRIEND EVERYONE’S GOT A RIGHT TO AN OPINION RIGHT THERE’S MINE.”

Finally, he came up with one more, declaring the battle lines drawn.

Hailey Bieber Supported Johnson, Jaden Smith Calls Out Ye
Hailey Bieber also supported Johnson, writing on her Instagram stories, “My respect for you runs deep my friend! “To know is to adore you and to work with you is an honor. The most kind. the most talented. the most fun. The most chic.” Vogue also posted their support for Johnson on Instagram.
Jaden Smith also called out Kanye in a series of angry tweets.

Plenty of other fans also remain unimpressed.
So the guy who thought slavery was a choice & the woman who said slave owners deserve reparations more than the slaves, wore matching White Lives Matter sweatshirts.
Color me surprised… 🤦♂️

But it seems, Ye is still wanting to have the last word, especially when it comes to him bullying Johnson, as is clear from his latest Instagram post.
That said, Johnson had something very different to say.
