During a recent appearance on the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast, Raven-Symoné reflected on her dating experience. The actress revealed to Mandel that she made every single partner she’s ever had sign an NDA before or during their relationship. An NDA is a non-disclosure agreement to ensure privacy, especially for celebrities.

She said, per Page Six, “All of my relationships, especially – obviously – when I started dating, I had to get people to sign NDAs. It took me a while to wrap my head around it because it’s very impersonal, but someone in our position needs to do that.”

Mandel then asked Symoné when she precisely presented the NDA documents in the relationship timeline. The “That’s So Raven” star responded, “Before the naughty times come. No, I’m serious — right before the naughty time comes. Welcome to being a celebrity in Hollywood nowadays.”

Symoné added, “It’s true though nowadays, hashtags, real life, they change the dynamic of having an intimate relationship with somebody.” Many celebrities are known for their use of NDAs, both in relationships and business, like Taylor Swift, Tom Cruise, and Mariah Carey.

During her conversation with Mandel, Symoné also recalled when she had to ask Pearman-Maday to sign the NDA. The actress said she waited almost two months into their relationship and finally presented her now-wife with the papers.

She said, “We were in New York. We were in this outdoor French restaurant, and my mom had been bugging me. She was like, ‘You got to get it signed. I’m like, ‘She’s from the industry.’ And my mom was bugging me. I was reluctant because I knew something was different about Miranda.”

According to Symoné, Pearman-Maday felt the same way and was reluctant to sign the agreement. She agreed they had “something different” but eventually signed because she knew it was out of their hands. Symoné said, “We both were like, ‘This takes away the genuineness of it all, but we also understood that we live in Hollywood.”

The “Ravens Home” star praised her wife during her interview with Mandel, saying she “talks differently.” She said, “She asks me questions as I’ve never been asked before but then has wonderful conversation to go with it after — no judgment. She has her flaws that she’s allowing me to help her with and vice versa.”

Pearman-Maday herself spoke on their relationship during a couples interview with Entertainment Tonight. The two women reflected on their years together and their plans and dreams for the future. Pearman-Maday revealed that she and Symoné would marry from the moment they met in 2015.

They Married In 2020 And Have Matching Tattoos

Symoné and Pearman-Maday finally married in 2020 and even got tattoos to celebrate their union. The design combined “P” and “M” and represents a union of the two women’s last names. The tattoos are on their left ring fingers above their wedding rings.

The “Cheetah Girls” star announced their union in an Instagram post with pictures of their intimate and beautiful ceremony. One photo showed them wearing white and black jumpsuits with Symoné’s braids featuring a rainbow pattern to honor that Pride month.

Symoné captioned the post, “I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home. Love you, Mrs. Pearman-Maday! Let’s tear this world a new a**hole!!!”
