Tom Schwartz Revealed That Marriage To Katie Maloney Was Why He ‘Wrote’ Off Raquel Leviss As Hookup Rumors Rage On

“Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Schwartz recently opened up about his and Katie Maloney‘s divorce and said their marriage may have been why he overlooked Raquel Leviss. He spoke to Scheana Shay on her podcast and called Leviss a really cool person, saying that she has a lot of depth and he regrets not giving her a chance.

Less than a month after he spoke to Shay, Schwartz and Leviss were allegedly seen making out at Shay’s wedding to Brock Davies, which was held in Mexico. According to reports online a lot more happened between the two, who had earlier denied rumors that they made out at Coachella.

On the other hand, Maloney was also in Mexico but didn’t attend the wedding because she was uninvited. She later implied on her Instagram story that she wasn’t happy with what went down at the party. She previously called their divorce one of the hardest things she’s had to ever do.

Tom Schwartz Overlooked Raquel Leviss Because He Was Married

Schwartz featured in an episode of Scheana Shay’s podcast “Scheananigans.” During the episode (as per Page Six), the “Vanderpump Rules” star spoke about his divorce from Maloney and how their marriage is most likely the reason he overlooked Leviss.

He said, “I was so caught up in my own little world and I was married — I never took time to get to know Raquel. She was always cool. I just never really took [the] time to invest in her. That’s a horrible way to phrase it. I never really gave her a chance. She has so much depth and character. I think I wrote her off.”

Schwartz also said, “She’s cool as sh-t. Shout-out to Raquel.” The podcast interview happened just a few weeks before Schwartz reportedly hooked up with Leviss at Shay’s destination wedding to Davies.

Tom Schwartz And Raquel Leviss Allegedly Made Out In Mexico

A source shared details from Shay’s Mexico wedding with US Weekly and said there was a lot of touching and feeling between Schwartz and Leviss. The source said, “Apparently there was some heavy drinking involved. They made out.”

The source also claimed that they had heard “through the grapevine” that way more than kissing occurred between the two reality stars. It’s no surprise to fans as there were rumors a few months ago that Schwartz and Leviss had hooked up while at the Coachella music festival.

Schwartz and Shay also discussed the rumors, which he had earlier debunked by saying he was never even at the festival. Schwartz denied the rumors again, and when Shay asked if he’d ever bring the rumors to reality, the Tom Tom co-owner laughed and said, “I don’t know what to say.”

Katie Maloney Was Uninvited To The Wedding

Maloney was also in Mexico but didn’t attend Shay and Davies’s festivities. However, the reality star did get drinks with James Kennedy, who used to be engaged to Leviss. Davies later confirmed that Maloney was disinvited to the wedding and after-party.

Davies made the statement in an Instagram comment on a report claiming that Maloney caught Schwartz and Leviss making out and screamed at them publicly. An Instagram user commented, “Katie wasn’t at the wedding though,” and Davies responded to this comment with, “She was disinvited and rocked up anyway for a ‘girls trip.’”

Maloney later hinted in an Instagram story (Via Us Weekly)post on August 25th that she was upset with the events of her trip. She posted a photo of herself looking unhappy and wrote, “So happy to be home. My face says it all but for real… back in my safe place feels gooooood.”

Katie Maloney Filed To Divorce Tom Schwartz

After six years of marriage, Maloney filed for divorce from Schwartz earlier this year. They initially announced their separation in March, and a week later, The Blast confirmed that Maloney had filed for divorce. The former couple seem to have been maintaining an impressive degree of civility and even friendship amid their divorce.

Recently, Schwartz and Maloney were spotted together enjoying a pool date/outing. The photo’s sparked reconciliation rumors which got laid to rest when Schwartz appeared on Maloney’s podcast and talked about how they were both doing really good at divorcing each other. He praised their post-breakup friendship and even suggested that they find a way to celebrate their 6th wedding anniversary as friends.
