Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Dog Dad: Pets Around The World Send Pawsitive Vibes To Ukraine!

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has become an inspiring figure for the way that he is handling the current Ukraine crisis.

In the United States, President Joe Biden adopted a German Shepherd puppy named Commander last year. The Biden family also welcomed a foster cat named Willow earlier this year. A fan account for the Biden pets has created a post showing support for Ukraine.

The Official Pawffice Asks Pups Around The World To Stand United With Ukraine & Dog Dad Volodymyr Zelenskyy

The Oval Pawffice tweeted, “🐾 Just when we thought we know all the good things about President @ZelenskyyUa and his impeccable character, we stumbled pawcross this photo of him and his puppers. Also, thank you dad @POTUS for helping Ukraine. Let’s keep at it! #UnitedForUkraine 🇺🇦”

Many fans took to the comments to show their pets also standing in solidarity with the people of Ukraine.

“Just when you think you can’t love him any more – he’s a dog lover too,” one fan tweeted.

“As for me and my pup – we stand with Ukraine and @ZelenskyyUa,” tweeted Barbara Comstock of ABC News.

“Lizzi and I stand with Ukraine and @ZelenskyyUa,” tweeted another.

Others were concerned about helping pet owners fleeing from Ukraine.

“Lots of Ukrainian pets accompanying their families along the long road to safety. How can we help them with food and stuff they need, so their humans only have to worry about themselves?” one user asked.

“The best place I know to donate right now is World Central Kitchen,” another replied. “They are feeding people as they cross the border. You can bet that the pet owners are finding ways to share.”

What Kind Of Dogs Does Volodymyr Zelenskyy Have?

Other fans entered into a debate about the kinds of dogs that Zelenskyy has. “Gasp! Is that a blue roan (English) Cocker Spaniel! Me, too! I am not even close to as amazing as Zelensky, but I enjoy knowing we are equally in love with spaniels (no shade on shepherds!)” one user tweeted.

“No (unfortunately) I don’t think it’s a blue roan. I also thought it might be but it looks more like a Schnauzer,” another user replied. “This was mine, full of character and sorely missed.”

Although we don’t know the breeds of the dogs, the photo in the tweet is from an article where Zelenskyy revealed the names of his two cuddly canines.

“Dumbbells are standing, Petya is asleep, Nora is yawning. This is how the first training session after the New Year looks like. Good morning, everyone,” Zelensky captioned the photo.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy Is Attempting To Join The European Union

Many supporters of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are hoping that his application to have Ukraine join the European Union will be approved.

On Twitter, the Parliament of Ukraine called the membership application a historic moment.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also shared a photograph of Zelenskyy signing the letter and the application. Zelenskyy is calling for Ukraine to be accepted into the 27-country bloc immediately.

In a video speech, Zelenskyy said: “We ask the European Union for Ukraine’s immediate accession under a new special procedure. Our goal is to be with all Europeans and, most importantly, to be equal. I’m sure that’s fair. I am sure we deserve it.”
